Pay With Cause LLC — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Pay With Cause LLC (“Pay With Cause,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you visit our websites and pages (the “Site”), submit forms, or otherwise interact with us online. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the Site.

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated Policy with a new Effective Date. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

1) Scope & who we are

This Policy applies to information we collect on the Site and in electronic communications between you and Pay With Cause. It does not apply to third-party websites or services linked from the Site, or to the data practices of any third-party payment providers (“Rails”) you may engage with separately.

2) What we collect

Information you provide

• Identifiers & contact details (e.g., name, email, phone, company, role) when you submit contact/lead forms or email us.
• Professional information you choose to include in messages.
• Testimonials or logos you submit for publication (see Section 8).

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we (and service providers acting on our behalf) may automatically collect:

• Device/usage data (IP address, browser type, operating system, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location, and timestamps).
• Cookies and similar technologies (e.g., web beacons, local storage) to operate the Site, understand traffic, and improve content. Browser controls can limit cookies; disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information via the Site.

• Rails and partners at your request (e.g., if you ask us to introduce you, we share the application/contact details you provide so they can evaluate your inquiry).

• Legal and safety (to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and security).
• With your consent or as disclosed when you provide it.

We may disclose aggregated or de-identified information without restriction.

Affiliate disclosure. We may receive referral/partner compensation if you choose to engage with certain third-party providers we introduce.

5) Cookies & controls

You can typically set your browser to block or delete cookies. If you do so, some Site features may not work as intended. The Site does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

Email preferences. You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message or emailing team@paywithcause.com. We may still send non-marketing messages (e.g., responses to your inquiries).

6) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7) Retention

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy (e.g., to respond to inquiries), comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information without time limit.

8) Testimonials & user submissions

If you submit a testimonial, logo, or similar content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, and distribute that content on the Site and in our marketing, and to use your name/company in connection with it, consistent with this Policy and our Terms of Use. You represent you have the rights to provide such content. We may edit, refuse, or remove submissions at our discretion.

9) Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. Do not submit information about children under 13.

10) Your privacy rights (U.S. state laws)

Depending on your state (e.g., CA, CO, CT, UT, VA), you may have rights to access/know, delete, correct, port, and to opt out of certain processing (e.g., targeted advertising, “sale,” “sharing,” or profiling for decisions with legal/similar effects). We will verify your identity before fulfilling requests and may deny requests where permitted by law.

• Submit a request: email team@paywithcause.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject and tell us which right you wish to exercise.
• Verification: we may verify via your email address and, if needed, request limited additional information to confirm identity and match to our records.
• Authorized agents (where allowed): your agent must provide proof of authorization; we may verify your identity directly.
• Appeals (where available): if we deny your request and your state provides appeal rights, email team@paywithcause.com with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject.
• Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
• Universal Opt-Out signals: if we engage in processing subject to state universal opt-out mechanisms, we will honor recognized signals as required by law.

Sale/Share. We do not sell personal information and do not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by applicable U.S. state privacy laws. If this changes, we will update this Policy and provide required opt-outs.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information via the Site.

12) International visitors

The Site is directed to U.S. visitors. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be processed in the U.S. and elsewhere, where laws may differ from those where you live.

13) Changes to this Policy

If we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy and, when appropriate, provide additional notice (e.g., by email or a Site banner). Please check this page for updates.
